My Testimony

I can't believe that I've finally been called to serve a mission. A mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is said to be a whole lifetime of spiritual experiences crammed within the space of 2 years. This sounds like an amazing experience and this perfectly illustrates why this is truly "the best 2 years." I'd like to thank my family, friends, priesthood leaders, and everyone who has been a good example to me in my life. For each and every person that I know, your light has pushed me to become a better person. I couldn't have done it without our love, support, and prayers. I testify that this is the true church of our Heavenly Father. This is His kingdom here on earth. Jesus is the Christ and He has suffered more than I can ever know so that I can be able return to my Heavenly Father someday. Joseph Smith did see the Father and the Son. Joseph restored this church for us, to enjoy the blessings that it brings. Thomas S. Monson is a prophet of our Father in Heaven and He is the one that leads and guides us today in behalf of the Lord in this final dispensation. Missionary work is a miracle to the world because through it, we invite all of God's children to come unto Jesus Christ. It reveals the path that leads to our Heavenly Father. As I devote the next 2 years of my life, I will exert all of my abilities, talents, and strengths to serve my Heavenly Father. I will not be fearful, discouraged, or weary but I will go and do the things which the Lord has commanded me to do, that is to serve a mission for Him. I will move foward with faith, serve Him will all my heart, and return with honor. This is my testimony, my proclamation of faithful service to the Lord, I bear witness that the things I have said are true, and I do so humbly, in the name of our Lord and Savior, even Jesus Christ. Amen.

Top Ten Good Things about a Minnesota Winter

10. There are no Mosquitoes

9. You're so busy worrying about your car not starting, you don't have time to worry about anything else.

8. All the sissies leave for Florida.

7. If you carelessly leave meat in your car, it will freeze and stay fresh.

6. It's not as bad as a Manitoba winter.

5. There's the thrill of skiing downhill or unexpectantly being totally out of control as your car slides down an icy road.

4. Bundled up as they are, kids can fall down 3 flights of stairs and not get hurt.

3. There's ice fishing in a -50 degree wind chill. Knowing that, someone, somewhere is flabbergasted at how hearty we are.

2. Anything is better than a humid Minnesota summer.
